Virtual Production was a first for us at Nirvana Studios – and we have fallen head over heels in love with the concept!

NOTHING IS REAL
Using the ‘Match of the Day’ set as a guide, Allurion wanted their own branded studio – however, with two distinctive videos to shoot in one day, we had to think outside the box. Virtual production, rather than relying on a physical set build, allowed us to create multiple scenes in advance which could be alternated between with the click of a button.
Constructing our sets in Unreal Engine; the world’s most advanced real-time 3D creative tool meant we could get the design perfected and signed off ahead of shoot day, allowing us and the client to focus on the content. Rob from Morden Wolf was so accommodating, we even had the cameras and lighting setup rigged, blocked and tested days in advance of the shoot.
Arriving on set with a few additional furnishings (chairs, table and rug), the rest was down to our lovely presenters (once they’d had their makeup applied of course)! With lights, camera, action – we managed to shoot over 3hrs of delicious final content with less necessity for post-production. Just some motion graphical overlays, an introduction sting and this could pass as true panel show broadcast.
